OUTCOMES
Success in the field of conflict resolution can be difficult to evaluate, and ultimately depends on the commitment and leadership from parties. Our clients deserve the credit for, and the benefits of, their efforts to find solutions. HCCM is committed to jointly seeking outcomes that are broadly useful and, where possible, concrete. We evaluate success in terms of needs and key interests motivating our clients to seek resolution. A settlement agreement is one familiar example of a concrete outcome, particularly in litigation. A recommendation to parties against settlement negotiations unless certain conditions are met is an example of a broadly useful outcome that can promote resolution, even if that requires litigation.
